General

-Tutoring sessions take place via Zoom (for video calling) & Google Docs (to write, type & complete answers) unless agreed otherwise. 

-It is your duty to ensure you’ve read & agreed to the privacy policies & terms & conditions of these third-party sites & softwares. 

It is advised that students have a notebook and pen by their side to make any quick notes or diagrams. 

-You are to make sure the computer used to receive tuition services has adequate protection against malware, viruses or any other malicious code or software that might harm your computer. 

-No guarantees can be made that you or your child will meet any particular desired grade or outcome. Each student’s lifestyle and habit varies, and the amount of work they do at home, or prior to receiving tuition is different, hence why no guarantees can be made in relation to what grades are achieved.

-It is your responsibility to find out & communicate the relevant exam board for your child’s subject, as well as how they’re progressing in school, so that tutoring sessions can be adequately planned. 

Payments

-For single sessions, payments must be made at least 24 hours before the agreed scheduled session time to confirm the booking. Please ensure the reference for the payment starts with the student’s name followed by the date and year in the following format: ‘Student11jan22’. 

-For monthly block-bookings, payment must be made at the beginning of the month to cover all scheduled sessions taking place in that month. The payment must be made at least 24 hours before the first session of the month takes place to confirm the bookings. Please ensure the reference for the payment starts with the student’s name followed by the month and year in the following format: ‘StudentJan22’. 

-Payments are to be made in advance up-front via bank-transfer unless agreed otherwise. 

-Digital invoices or receipts can be issued upon request.

Cancellations

-Cancellations & requests to reschedule a session must be made via phone call, text/ whatsapp or email at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled session otherwise the full rate will still apply.

-If a session is to be cancelled by the tutor, you may either claim a refund for that session if payment has already been made and no other time can be arranged to reschedule the session, or choose to have the session rescheduled to another suitable time.

-The tutor holds the right to refuse to work with you, or cancel any future sessions, or to not work with you if it is believed you/ your child are not a good match for the service, or for any other reason that may negatively impact the tutor’s business. If this happens, any unspent fees shall be refunded to you.

-If you are not happy with the first 2 paid session, just let the tutor know within 72 hours of the second session & your money shall be refunded. This applies to first-time customers only.
